All Out Foods granted Plastic Free Champion Award!

Plastic Free Guildford is delighted to award the home of the Plant-based All Out burger a Plastic Free Champion Award, just in time for summer barbecues! The award is given to companies who have made an effort to remove or replace at least three types of single use plastic from their business.

Rather than presenting the burgers in standard plastic burger trays the company has sourced compostable bags with an adhesive label, and instead of using the standard plastic burger discs, the burgers are separated using cellophane spaces.

In retail spaces, All Out Foods have encouraged retailers to display the burgers in the deli counter, rather than individually wrapping them, allowing customers to bring their own Tupperware to take the burgers away. For catering stands, they use bagasse takeaway cartons and bamboo cutlery.

For home deliveries of the 'build your own burger' kits they use compostable portion pots for sauces and toppings, and paper bags for the vegan cheese slices. For any marketing material they use vegetable-based inks, which are less harmful to the natural environment than the petroleum-based counterpart.

Coming to an event near you this summer! Also available online at www.alloutfoods.com or at local retailers including fellow Champion Noel's Farm Shop.
