Plastic Free Guildford is delighted to award the local independent salon a Plastic Free Champion Award! The award is given to companies who have made an effort to remove or replace at least three types of single use plastic from their business.
The salon have made some impressive changes to reduce their plastic use, from installing refill stations for shampoo and conditioner, using recycled foils for highlights and sourcing reusable aprons and gowns, to recycling their coffee pods and even finding plastic-free loo paper!
When new covid rules came in, they sourced biodegradable gloves and capes, the staff use recycled cotton facemasks and all screen dividers are made from toughened glass instead of Perspex.
