Partisan Deli receives Plastic Free Champion Award!
By making a commitment to remove plastic bags, pots, bin liners and cutlery, Partisan Deli have been awarded a Plastic Free Champion Award!
The cheesemonger and delicatessen have been encouraging customers to bring their own containers, have replaced plastic bags for customer purchases with recycled paper bags or reusable cotton ones, and replaced plastic cutlery with recycled wooden cutlery.
Behind the scenes, they use recycled bin liners, reuse packaging wherever possible and use dissolvable corn starch peanuts rather than polystyrene. They're still looking at ways to remove cling film and are keeping an eye out for plastic-free food-grade solutions.
Visit Partisan on Chapel Street in Guildford or shop online at surrey-larder.co.uk/shop.
The Plastic Free Champion award is given to businesses who have made an effort to remove or replace at least three types of single use plastic from their business. Find the full list on our local map. To apply, contact the Plastic Free Guildford team by using our contact form.
